1987 Passion

At the age of 14, I fell madly in love with golf. And not just the game, but also the architecture, as all the walls of my room were covered with photos of golf courses. At school, I would draw golf courses in my notebooks ! I even wrote in big letters on a piece of paper that I posted on my bedroom wall, "I will be a professional golfer." This became a reality at 20. I realized my dream !

1994-1998 Discovery and Enrichment

I traveled a lot for my tournaments and saw many courses. It was extremely enriching for my golf architecture work. So during all these years, I continued to think about interesting concepts in golf architecture and to design extremely original holes.

1998: The Painful Year

Thanks to an excellent season in '97, I found myself on the European Tour playing with the top players. I struggled with it; I was stressed and had a hard time sleeping. I didn't play very well. In fact, at the end of that season, I didn't try for the Tour card again!

The Gradual Transition

I continued to participate in tournaments and managed to accumulate 16 victories on the satellite and French circuits. Great! Playing well and pushing myself in tournaments remains pure joy... Little by little, I dedicated more time to designing courses, and my first projects began to arrive.

Better Architect than Player !

I discovered that I had everything within me. All these thinking years and all the golf courses I explored provided me with an immense stock of original ideas that I could apply to the proposed terrains.
